Cloud Strife was born and raised in the small town of Nibelheim, located at the base of Mount Nibel. His childhood was filled with hardship and struggle, as his family was poor and his father worked long hours in the mines. Despite this, Cloud was determined to make something of himself and joined the military at a young age.
